I am so sad to report that Virginia Murney, wife to Ken Murney, and owner of Discovery Bay’s Woody’s Bar & Grill (now named Boardwalk Grill), drowned last night in a tragic accident off her dock on Windward Point , the details of which are still unknown.  A beautiful, always smiling, young woman, who was loved by many.  She will be missed enormously.

  4. Wow this is very sad to me i’m in tears. Her grandson and my son played baseball together on the A’s and she always came with a smile on her face and always made us laugh. We will miss you thanks for always putting a smile on pur faces:)

  7. Virginia was a beautiful person with such passion for life, love and her adorable grandson. We so looked forward to running into her while boating, taco tuesdays, out for pizza wherever we went there she was with a bear hug and that beautiful infectious smile! She will be greatly missed by so many, what a tragedy this is. My thoughts and prayers are with you Ken,Gage, her family and friends, we are here for you if you need anything.   10. I was so shocked & saddened with this news! My heart goes out to Ken & her family!! I only knew Virginia from Woody’s, but from the moment I met her I felt as though she was a long time friend. Virginia always had a way of making everyone feel welcome with that big smile of her’s & her bubbly personality. She was a beautiful lady on the inside & out, and will be missed by many!!!     1. auntie gin is my aunt. who i love very much,and who is loved by many.She had so many friends/and family.We had many great memories together!I was the flower girl for auntie gin and uncle ken’s wedding.When we went to Pismo for thansgiving we would wake up and then go riding together,for breakfast she would always make the BEST breakfast burritos anyone has ever tasted,then for thanksgiving dinner she would make such YUMMY stuffing!she was the best cook ever!I WILL MISS YOU FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!I LOVE AND MISS YOUR BIG HUGS!:( I LOVE YOU AUNTIE GIN

    Gin wasn’t my sister by blood, but she will ALWAYS be my sister..she always had a smile and a hug for me…so many wonderful memories… I know many of you feel the same way.

    We are remembered by the friendships we make along the way, and Virginia will be remembered well. A beautiful woman who was beautiful inside as well.
