Thousands of marijuana plants were discovered today, in a concealed corn field at the 4600 block of Orwood Road. The approximate street value of which is estimated at about $30 million.
The bust was a joint operation between Contra Costa County Narcotics and Alameda County Sheriff’s. No arrests were made, although an encampment for about four people was found at the scene and suspected squatters were seen fleeing toward Discovery Bay. It is unclear at this time who owns the property. Stay tuned for details.
