Discovery Bay Photograpgher Wins International Award

The National Wildlife Federation sponsors an annual nature photo contest that draws over 50,000 entries from around the world. The winners are highlighted in NWF’s monthly magazine and other publications and represent some of the most unique and iconic nature images of the year.

Bill Klipp, of Discovery Bay, entered the contest in 2010 for the first time and one of his images won Honorable Mention in the Mammals category.  Klipp tells us:  “My winning entry was a Wildebeest Stampede photo I took in the Serengeti in Kenya (below). The prize was small but the recognition large.”
