MCNERNEY ENCOURAGES LOCAL INPUT ON HEALTH OF THE DELTA

Congressman Jerry McNerney today urged community members and local organizations to offer input during a public comment period currently underway on improving the health of the Delta. The Environmental Protection Agency is asking members of the public to consider what steps should be taken to improve water quality in the Delta. Input and findings from the process will be taken into account as future proposals on the Delta are considered.

“It’s critical that the voices of the Delta communities are heard,” said Rep. McNerney. “Local families, farmers and small business owners depend on the Delta for a healthy, fresh supply of water for farming, drinking, tourism, and other uses. I encourage the community to offer input so that our perspective is taken into account on any future decisions.”
