Carl Jackson, of Discovery Bay, was born July 27, 1940 and passed away today in his home, surrounded by his family.
Carl Jackson and his wife, Jill, were married 50-years, and had plans to celebrate the occasion at the Discovery Bay Country Club when he became ill, postponing the event.
Carl Jackson retired the way he wanted to, he lived in Maui, enjoyed a full head of hair all of his life, and was blessed with seven grandchildren and one great grandson. Carl had a wonderful sense of humor, and will be missed tremendously.
Carl Jackson is survived by his wife, Jill, and three children: Shelly Lichlyter, Julie Darnell, and Mike Jackson. Seven grandchildren: Emily and Ryan Lichlyter , Greg, Jeff and Katie Jackson, Jill Darnell, and Kristina Tennyson. Great Grandson Gary Kenneth Tenyson
Carl Jackson will be remembered with a Celebration of Life ceremony in Discovery Bay – details to come…

Carl Jackson was a loving, fun man, who lived a great life. His family, friends, and community will miss him greatly!

This Article still brings tears to my eyes. It makes me smile to read all these amazing things about my grandpa. My grandparents are blessed to have so many wonderful friends who love them like family. Thank you everyone for all your support for my grandma!
To the Jackson Family…I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Carl. I will always remember Carl as a man with a wonderful sense of humor and a gentle kind heart. He always had a smile on his face and he truly loved his family. I feel very blessed to have known Carl. My prayers and thoughts are with you!
