(MONDAY) The Contra Costa Sheriff’s Dept. spokesman, Jimmy Lee, confirmed Monday morning that the 4-month old baby from Knightsen, that disappeared Saturday night, has been found. That is the extent of the details being shared right now. What is not known is where the baby was found, or the baby’s condition. Details to follow later.
UPDATE (6:45AM) It appears the baby was found near Los Angeles, in the care of someone known to the family – who appears to have taken the baby during the night. The baby is on her way home now.
(SUNDAY) The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff is investigating a missing female baby. This morning, May 22, 2011, at about 6:20 AM, Sheriff Office Dispatch received a report of the missing baby from a residence on the 1500 block of Tule Lane in the town of Knightsen. The caller stated the baby was last seen at about 10 PM the previous night when the baby went to sleep. At about 6 AM this morning the mother went to check on the baby who was not in her bassinet. Deputy Sheriffs responded and conducted a search of the residence and area. A telephone notification was made to homes in the area. A search by air Earlier and K-9 was also conducted. The baby is still missing at this point. The details on missing baby are as follows: Ramy Amadea Gallego, 4 months old, is missing. She has dark hair, blue eyes, 14 pounds, wearing a one piece zip-up that had pink, green and blue pastel colors.
