The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors is seeking one resident to serve on the Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) of the Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA).
The committee reviews transportation programs and plans throughout the county and provides advice and recommendations to the Authority’s board of directors. The person selected for this position must live in an unincorporated area of the county and be available to attend committee meetings on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the CCTA offices in Walnut Creek.
CCTA maintains the CAC in order to provide citizen perspective and participation in the $3 billion, voter-approved Transportation Expenditure Plan and Growth Management Program. CAC members have the opportunity to learn about and influence the county’s and other jurisdictions’ transportation and growth issues through presentations by transportation experts, advocates and CCTA staff.
The deadline to apply is Sept. 2. To request and application or for more information, call 925-335-1220 or visit http://www.co.contra-costa.ca.us.
