Celebrating their one year anniversary, the Delta Community Christian Food Pantry serves 519 local children and their families – most of whom live within Discovery Bay and Byron.
Who knew there was such an enormous need in our community? Think that family down the street doesn’t have troubles? Maybe they are still driving that Lexus – from when they had jobs two years ago – but now they can barely make ends meet. We never know what lies behind closed doors.
The Delta Community Christian Foodbank is a joint effort of three local churches – Delta Community Presbyterian, Byron Methodist, and St. Anne’s. A great union with a wonderful group of volunteers .
If you need help with food, stop by the Food Pantry at Byron Methodist Church on Byron Highway. It’s open Tuesday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00 am. You are not alone!
