Anglers and Farmers and other concerned Delta residents packed the Fish & Game hearing in Sacramento today to speak in protest of a proposal that would destroy Striped Bass fishing in the Delta. They succeeded to convince commission members to unanimously reject the proposal much to the dismay of Socal Corporate agriculture lawyers.
The proposal, had it succeeded, would have been one step toward the created of a peripheral canal around the Delta – a devastating prospect for Northern California, and Delta communities in particular.
