FRIDAY, JUNE 15 (DISCOVERY BAY) – Shortly before 8:00 AM, Thursday, an off-duty Contra Costa County Sheriff Deputy found an unresponsive 46 year old man behind the Safeway Shopping Center, off Highway 4, in Discovery Bay. Fire and ambulance responded along with the Sheriff’s office. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no signs of foul play.
An autopsy was conducted this morning, and the forensic pathologist has ordered some toxicology tests be done, thus the cause of death is pending. Results could take around six weeks.
The man was from Livermore, but it is unclear if he was visiting or possibly now residing in Discovery Bay.
