For nearly two decades, the Discovery Bay Lions Club has held the Easter Egg Hunt at Cornell Park in Discovery Bay. Starting this year it will be held at our new Community Center located at 1601 Discovery Bay Blvd on April 19th with the activities beginning at 8:30 and the Easter Egg Hunt starting right at 10:00 AM sharp. The Easter Bunny scatters thousands of surprise-filled eggs for the hundreds of children that attend this free event each year. They are separated by age group, starting with the adorable “two and under” group of egg runners and crawlers.
Please remember to bring a Easter Egg basket to put your eggs in and there are no dogs allowed in the community center during this event. The egg hunt lasts only minutes as the children run (or crawl) to fill their baskets, so don’t disappoint the wee ones by being late. Arrive early for pictures with the Easter Bunny, and enjoy several fun activities and free games. The Easter Bonnet contest is a new favorite for all ages. Go crazy and decorate your Easter Bonnet for a chance at fun prizes.
