“Invasive aquatic weeds impact the well-being of our wonderful natural resources and threaten our Delta way of life,” said Assemblymember Jim Frazier. “I want to ensure that my constituents in the Discovery Bay community have a seat at the table and have an opportunity to be informed about invasive aquatic weed abatement efforts.”

The meeting will be attended by Assemblymember Jim Frazier, various elected officials, and representatives from the California Division of Boating and Waterways. Biologists will be on hand to discuss the identification of new invasive aquatic species, and staff members from the department will be available to discuss proactive methods of management.

Delta residents play a vital role in apprising the Division of Boating & Waterways of aquatic weed infestations.  It is very important to report aquatic weed sightings by emailing pubinfo@parks.ca.gov or calling 1-888-326-2822.
